Belt Magazine, in partnership with Indiana Humanities, is seeking pitches and submissions of features, essays, and poems that engage with how people in rural, urban, and suburban communities in Indiana relate to each other across boundaries—geographic, cultural, economic, etc.

The series is supported by Indiana Humanities’ INseparable initiative, which invites Hoosiers to consider what it will take to be inseparable, in all the ways that matter. Read the first few pieces in the series here.

Pitches and submissions are considered on a rolling basis. Send pitches for features and completed essays/poems to [email protected], with “INseparable pitch” in the subject line. Please also include a short bio (<50 words).

All writers and poets will be compensated.
