Saturday, December 10, Belt is hosting an event with Ted McClelland, author of Belt Publishing’s latest, How To Speak Midwestern. Starting at 6:30 p.m., join us at Happy Dog at the Euclid Tavern (11625 Euclid Ave, Cleveland, Ohio) for a presentation by McClelland and to meet the author and Belt staff.
The party is FREE and open to the public, but won’t be just your average reading. McClelland will be doing a thorough presentation on the book’s topics with readings, audio clips, and more!
Copies of How To Speak Midwestern along with the rest of Belt’s published works will be available for sale at the event. The bar will be open and, of course, Happy Dog’s famous hot dogs, french fries, and tater tots will be available too.
It’s a great way to be introduced to or learn more about the book that the New York Times called, “a dictionary wrapped in some serious dialectology inside a gift book trailing a serious whiff of Relevance.
You can find additional information and/or RSVP on our facebook event page. Hope to see you there!
