Photographs of everyday life for young people in the city
By Raymar Brunson
Artist statement: I’m a twenty-two-year-old photographer born and raised in Gary. My city has always been a big influence on my work. Through the years it has shown me how to find the beauty in things that aren’t “traditionally beautiful” and capture that in my photography. The beauty is in the everyday. I find the moments and subjects that may seem insignificant, but are truly important and interesting. I then frame the image to capture the significance of the moment.
