This reminds me of when I moved back to Cleveland from the beaches of Charleston, South Carolina, in my twenties and I still had my South Carolina driver’s license. It seemed like every time I got carded, the cashier would ask me the inevitable, “But WHY move to Cleveland?” I always answered, “Just because..” Perhaps I should have answered, “Because THIS is Cleveland.”

Also, as a side note—I wonder if the folks at Positively Cleveland realize that job creation helps drive vibrancy in a community, which in turn drives tourism and biz travel dollars. And what drives job creation? When local organizations hire local talent (not Marketing VPs out of Chicago) and choose local companies (not Kansas City) for large projects. Those choices alone make me question the authenticity of the campaign even before I see it.
