Belt Publishing publishes quality non-fiction about the Rust Belt and the Midwest. Our books have won awards, been praised by Vanity Fair, featured on PBS Newshour, and enjoyed by thousands.
A quickly growing small press, Belt Publishing has published nine books since we founded in 2013, and we will be publishing at least seven more over the next twelve months.
By joining our book club, you will receive all our books as soon as they are released–in fact, you will receive your copies before they are officially on sale! This includes Edward McClelland’s How To Speak Midwestern, Aaron Foley’s Detroit Neighborhood Guidebook, Mark Athitakis’ The New Midwest, Martha Bayne’s Chicago Anthology, and more.
Plus, by signing up to automatically receive a cheery Belt book in the mail every month or so, you will be supporting our efforts, helping us publish even more titles, and allowing our unique press to thrive. PLUS we’ll send you surprise gifts in your shipments–t-shirts, tote bags, who knows?!!
We offer two book club options:
Belt Book Club With Starter Box
Receive a “starter box” of all our previous titles, plus every book we publish for twelve months.*
Belt Book Club
Receive every book we publish for twelve months.
Shop our store to find out more about the Book Club and all our books.
*you can mix and match your “starter box” — if you would like nine copies of one book instead of one copy of nine books, we can accommodate that.
