Belt Publishing’s anthologies, written by and for Rust Belt communities, include compilations from Akron, Buffalo, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Dayton, Detroit, Flint, Pittsburgh, and Youngstown. And now, Grand Rapids!
Grand Rapids Grassroots: An Anthology will be the next book in Belt Publishing’s series of city-based compendia if their Kickstarter campaign is successful.
Ashley E. Nickels and Dani Vilella will co-edit this collection of stories to be written by and about Grand Rapids’ grassroots activists, writers, and creatives. Both Nickels, an Assistant Professor of Political Science, and Vilella, a state-wide political and advocacy field manager, have helped organize a host of grassroots protests, campaigns, and initiatives in Grand Rapids and beyond.
If you use the Kickstarter platform to order any Belt title, you will you receive a great book of writing by and from the Rust Belt and provide support for the publishing costs of Grand Rapids’ Grassroots: An Anthology. Win-win!
Meanwhile, keep up to date with the project’s progress by visiting the Grand Rapids Grassroots Anthology Facebook page.
